DIY Holiday Gifts with Essential Oils

You know what I love? Christmas!! I love it all…the shopping, the carols, the packages and especially the joyful feeling of giving to others. But sometimes, I’m not sure what to give…you know, for those little gifts for teachers or daycare staff or just that little extra something to add a special touch! Luckily, this year I have lots of DIY gift giving ideas and I’m sharing them below, so check them out! You’re going to find everything from crafts to DIY spa gifts to holiday snacks. Save or Pin your favorite ideas and you’ll be all set!

DIY Spa Gifts & Recipes

Even though I absolutely love the holiday season, I crave a few moments here and there to escape the hustle so I can relax and take it all in. You’ve got to try these awesome bath recipes and I’ve even included a fun recipe for DIY make-up remover pads. You know what’s most awesome about these types of DIYS? They’re free from synthetic fragrances and crazy chemicals! Who really wants to be soaking their body in a bunch of chemicals? Not me! And hopefully…not you!

Oil Ideas: Frankincense, Lavender or Stress Away could be used in place of Joy (but I do love Joy.)

Smells Like Christmas

When I learned that I could diffuse essential oils to create Christmas aromas in my home, I was thrilled! Just a few drops of Idaho Balsam Fir or Christmas Spirit in my diffuser and I really am feeling the ‘Christmas Spirit.’ Sometimes, I want to get creative with my own DIY diffuser blends and I’m sure you’re going to love these nine recipes! BONUS…when you diffuser pure essential oils, you’re doing something good for your body and mind (and that’s so much better than using candles, waxes and plug-ins with harsh chemicals & synthetics that actually break down your immune system – seriously, they do).

DIY Holiday Craft Gifts

I always try to do a few crafts or projects with my girls over Christmas break. Your kids will love helping you create these DIY decorative hand soaps and scented diffuser ornaments. They’re so fun and easy! I’m planning to put on some holiday music and make a whole bunch of the scented diffuser ornaments with my 9- and 11-year-old daughters. They’ll make perfect decorations (or maybe even gift tags) to tie onto our Christmas wrappings this year.

Oil Ideas: Peppermint and Stress Away would be also amazing in the hand soap recipe. For the diffuser ornaments, Idaho Blue Spruce or Christmas Spirit would smell so good as well!

Holiday Treat Recipes

If you like to give food for Christmas or if you’re looking for some new holiday hors d’oeuvres, try the holiday herb cheeseball or the peppermint brownies. And you must try the Holiday Spiced Apple Cider…it is so, so good! If you don’t have all of the ingredients on hand or you’re in a hurry, you can make a little easier version by heating up pure apple cider and adding 2 to 3 drops of Thieves Vitality Essential Oil. It’s delicious as well!
